watercolour, m&m paris and kinetic typography

M&M PARIS

this is my example of m&m paris's work. i created a clipping mask using photoshop. i took a picture of myself using photobooth. i then uploaded the picture to photoshop & changed the colour effects to black & white and also changed the contrast & brightness so i could get an equal amount of both colours. i then created another layer with the letter h, i then merged the layers and was able to move my picture around so it looked abstract. i then used different effects and added them to the picture so it was more unusual.

i like this piece because i think it looks effective in black and white an although its abstract you can still see the letter & it represents me. i also think that the added effects such as the blurring and paintbrush streaks helps add more detail to the picture.

Kinetic

i used illustrator to create the effects that the text is moving. i used blur, warp, bold, fonts and punctuation which all contributed to the making of the kinetic effects. i like this piece because you can tell a story with the text but make it seem real at the same time. it makes it more interesting to look at & with experiments i would have liked to look at including colour into the text swell, as different colours would work well together and make it more bold. i think the use of blur and warp definitely makes the text look like its moving like the kinetic typography example.
